Oatmeal
Oats are a nutritious whole grain, known for their high content of soluble and insoluble fiber, which helps regulate blood sugar, lower cholesterol, improve digestion, and increase satiety. They serve as a source of sustained energy, provide essential vitamins and minerals, and can be a valuable component in diets for weight control, people with diabetes, and for cardiovascular and intestinal health. Furthermore, they are rich in antioxidants and proteins, making them a very complete and versatile food in the kitchen.
Instant oatmeal is the finest and cooks the quickest. The manufacturing process involves more thorough milling and steaming to obtain very fine, easy-to-soften oat flakes. Instant oatmeal only requires 2 to 3 minutes of cooking time, with the addition of hot water or milk.
